Access Data 360 XMD in the UI

Open a lens view from the dashboard to rename columns, rename values, or apply custom colors to a Data 360 object.

Datasets support two entry points for editing XMD: opening the dataset directly from the Browse or Recents page as a lens, or exploring a dashboard widget. Data 360 objects support only dashboard and widget entry points. You can’t open them as lenses from the Browse page.

Open a dashboard widget backed by a Data 360 query in preview mode.
Select Explore from the dropdown menu to open as a lens.
Open the Fields Panel.
Use the column dropdown menu to rename columns, rename values, or apply custom colors.
