Add the Visualforce Custom Action to the Page Layout

Now we’ll add the custom action to the Account page layout.
  1. From the object management settings for Accounts, go to Page Layouts.
  2. Click Edit next to the Warehouse Schema Account Layout.
  3. Click the Salesforce1 & Lightning Actions category in the palette.
  4. In the Salesforce1 and Lightning Experience Actions section, click override the predefined actions.
  5. Drag the Create Quick Order element into the Salesforce1 and Lightning Experience Actions section so that it appears as the first element on the left.
    Our mobile technicians are going to use this custom action a lot, so we’re putting it at the start of the list so it is one of the first actions they see in the action bar.
  6. If it’s present, drag the Mobile Smart Actions element out of the section and back to the palette.
  7. Click Save.

Now that we’ve created the custom action and added it to the page layout, we’re ready to see it in action.
