Update the Force.com IDE

Force.com IDE is in a maintenance-only state. We still provide support for the product through our official channels, but updates prior to October 12, 2019 will be only for critical security issues that arise. On October 12, 2019, we will no longer provide support or updates of any kind for Force.com IDE. On that date, we will also begin archiving documentation and removing download links for the product. We recommend that you start migrating to Salesforce Extensions for Visual Studio Code or one of the great tools made by our partners. Warning

It is recommended that you always use the latest version of the Force.com IDE so that you have the latest features, bug fixes, and documentation. To update the IDE:

From Eclipse, select Help | Software and Workspace Center. Alternatively, you can click the Check for Updates link on the Force.com Start page.
The Software and Workspace Center opens, searches automatically, and provides a link to any relevant updates in the Updates Available section.
Select the Force.com IDE update and click Apply 1 change.
In the dialog that opens, confirm that the Install Location is correct and click Update.
Accept the license agreement and click Finish.
You are prompted to restart Eclipse; click OK.
