Upload the Canvas Connected App Package

Now that you packaged the canvas app, you’re ready to upload the package.

Uploading the package creates an installation link that you can provide to anyone who needs to install your canvas app in their org.

This task assumes that you completed the steps at Package the Connected App for Canvas.

Note

  1. In Salesforce, from Setup, enter Packaging in the Quick Find box, then select Package Manager.
  2. In the Packages list, click the Hello World Package link.
  3. On the Package Detail page, click Upload to publish the managed package.
  4. In the Version Name field, enter Spring 2026 Beta. Keep the default Version Number of 1.0 and Release Type of Managed—Beta.
  5. Click Upload.

    A canvas app can be installed only in an org other than the one you’re developing in.

    Note

After the upload completes, the Version Detail page appears. The Installation URL field contains the URL that you can use to install the canvas app in another org. You also receive a notification email that contains the installation URL.
