Configure Flutter for iOS

After you install the unified Flutter plugin packages, finish setting up your iOS development environment.

Run flutter pub get from the project root first. This command generates .flutter-plugins and .flutter-plugins-dependencies, which CocoaPods needs to resolve plugin symlinks.

From your app’s ios directory, install CocoaPods dependencies.

Set up APNs in your Apple Developer account and upload credentials in Marketing Cloud Engagement setup.

You can use either:

  • APNs authentication key (.p8)
  • APNs certificate (.p12)

Configure the SDK in your AppDelegate.swift using the multi-module ConfigBuilder pattern.

For detailed SDK configurations, see Configure iOS SDK.

In Xcode, enable:

  • Push Notifications
  • Background Modes with Remote Notifications

For more information, see Enable Push Notifications.
