Email Notifications

Installation Notification Emails

An email notification is sent to your app subscribers 30 days after their initial installation. The notification thanks users for installing the app and encourages them to share their experiences with others by writing a review. A notification is sent only when the following conditions are true:

  • A valid email address exists for that user.
  • A notification has not yet been sent to the same user.
  • The user has not yet posted a review.

Review Notification Emails

When users post reviews and comments on your app and your consulting partner listings, email notifications are sent to interested parties. There are several types of email notifications that depend upon the user’s role in the conversation (provider, author, or commenter).

Type of Email Notification Sent to Details
New Review on Your Listing You, the provider Sent only if you have specified an email address in the Reviews Email field on your Edit Listing | Basic tab.
New Comment on Your Review The review author Sent only if someone other than the review author comments on the review and if the author has opted to receive email notifications on their profile. If the author replies to the notification, the reply is posted as a new comment on the review.
Also Commented on the Review The people who commented on the review Sent to people who have commented on a review, are not the review author or the author of this comment, and have opted to receive email notifications on their profiles. At most one email notification is sent to each commenter for each new comment. If the person replies to the notification, the reply is automatically posted as a new comment on the review.
New Comment on the Review of Your Listing You, the provider Sent whenever someone writes a new comment on a review of your listing. The notification is sent only if you have specified an email address in the Reviews Email field on your Edit Listing | Basic tab.
