Advanced Orders for Telesales

Advanced Orders for Telesales helps sales reps quickly build and place large orders during telesales interactions. Use the Advanced Order REST APIs to browse assortments and products, get a customer’s previously ordered products and valid delivery dates, get instant pricing for order line items, and place orders in a single request for Manufacturing, Automotive, and Consumer Goods telesales.

With the Advanced Order Business APIs, you can:

  • Retrieve the product assortments available to a customer account for an order specification.
  • Get a filtered product list, search the product catalog, and view category hierarchies.
  • Get the products a customer previously ordered, with quantities aggregated by unit of measure.
  • Get the valid delivery date range for an order based on lead-time configuration.
  • Get instant pricing for order line items.
  • Place an order in one request by submitting its products, pricing, and tax preferences together.

Manufacturing Cloud, Automotive Cloud, and Consumer Goods Cloud extend the standard Salesforce platform with a set of standard and custom objects that support account-based selling, assortment and location management, inventory movement, product cataloging, and advanced order capture. This reference describes the objects that make up that “Orders” object domain — spanning the account hierarchy, assortment/location model, inventory operations, standard product catalog objects, and the Advanced Orders feature.

Each object’s reference lists its description, supported API calls, any special access rules, and its fields (including, for each relationship field, its relationship name and the object(s) it refers to), plus its associated objects (such as feed, history, and sharing objects), where documented.

Note on API version availability: All 29 objects covered in this guide are available in API version 68.0 and later.

Note on shared objects: Account, AccountAccountRelation, InternalOrganizationUnit, PartyRoleRelation, and Product2 are foundational objects also documented in the Object Reference for the Salesforce Platform or a companion cloud developer guide (direct links are in the Data Model).
