Health Cloud Managed Package to Platform Data Model Mapping

The Health Cloud managed package offers a set of objects to store and access specialized health information. Certain objects in the managed packaged are superseded by objects on the core Salesforce platform, making it easy for customers who migrate from the package to the platform.

Starting with the Summer ’24 release, Health Cloud doesn’t require customers to install the Health Cloud managed package as all relevant features have counterparts in the core Salesforce platform. Therefore, new customers onboarding into Health Cloud starting with the Summer ’24 release no longer have access to the Health Cloud managed package. Customers who onboarded before the Summer ’24 release can continue to use the managed package, but we recommend evaluating the relevant features in the core Salesforce platform.

As a customer who is moving from the package to the platform, you can use this information to understand how the objects in the package map to objects and fields in the platform.

  • Managed package objects in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) data model are superseded by objects in the FHIR R4-aligned clinical data model of the core Salesforce platform. See Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Clinical Data Model Mapping.
  • Other managed package objects are superseded by standard platform objects, Health Cloud objects, or feature-specific objects.

The object and field mapping between the managed package and the platform helps you streamline your metadata and data migration process.
