Activate MCP Servers
MCP servers are disabled in your org by default and must be enabled by an administrator before clients can connect. This is a security measure — capabilities that expose org data to external systems require an intentional administrator action to activate.
Warning: If you don't enable your MCP servers, clients will not be able to connect, even with correct authentication.
-
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter MCP Servers, and then select MCP Servers under API Catalog.
-
Review the list of available servers.
-
Enable the servers your team needs by toggling them on.
Note: It can take up to 2 minutes for a server to become active after you enable it.
After enabling your MCP servers, proceed to connect your MCP client.
