Before You Start

Before you can ground Agentforce in visual data, activate several Salesforce platforms. These platforms provide product catalog management, AI capabilities, and agent functionality. These essential building blocks help create personalized, data-driven agent conversations. Complete these steps to prepare your org for the implementation.

Data 360 powers the indexing and retrieval infrastructure that transforms your visual content into searchable, structured data for your agent. Verify and enable it for your Salesforce org.

  1. Go to Data Cloud Setup.
  2. If you see a Get Started button, click it and wait for the process to finish. This can take up to ten minutes.

Einstein powers the AI capabilities that enable Agentforce to understand, reason, and respond intelligently to customer questions. By turning on Einstein, you activate the foundational AI services that support semantic search, natural language understanding, and intelligent recommendations to ground your agent in complex visual data.

  1. Go to Setup.
  2. In the quick find box, find and select Einstein Setup.
  3. Click Turn On Einstein.

Agentforce is Salesforce’s enterprise agentic AI platform that helps you build, deploy, and manage autonomous AI agents at scale. When you turn on Agentforce, you enable your org to create agents.

  1. Go to Setup.
  2. In the quick find box, find and select Agentforce Agents.
  3. Turn on Agentforce.

Refresh the page if you don’t see your Agentforce agents.
