Step 1: Strategize Your Visual Data Upload

Before ingesting visual data into Data 360, plan your content strategy. A well-defined strategy gives your agent access to the right information without unnecessary content that can dilute search results or increase costs. In this step, identify which content types to ingest, how to organize your files, and what scope to define for your agent’s knowledge base.

Data 360 can ingest visual content to ground your agent.

  • PDFs containing diagrams, annotated instructions, and step-by-step visuals
  • Product images used in Commerce or CMS contexts
  • Configuration or architecture diagrams

As you plan your content ingestion, keep these key considerations in mind to optimize your agent’s performance and accuracy.

  • Content scope: Don’t upload all of your content to Data 360. Instead, define first what the agent should know. A focused knowledge base produces more accurate, relevant responses.
  • Content organization: Organize files by topic or use case. For example, keep separate libraries for separate product categories, like Bathroom, Deck, and Kitchen.
  • Name files clearly: Names carry through to chunk metadata.
  • Make sure that diagrams are embedded in PDFs, and aren’t dynamically rendered.
