Deploy Tableau Next Assets

Tableau Next Marketplace is designed to share and deploy Tableau Next assets in an org and across orgs. The Marketplace uses the App Template Framework (ATF) to package and deploy assets. Use the ATF to create templates of single assets, like a Tableau Next dashboard, or multiple assets that depend on each other, like a Tableau Next workspace containing analytics assets and Data 360 data assets. An "app" is a collection of multiple, related assets.

Creating templates is similar to packaging, but it’s more powerful. It ties assets together with tokenized IDs, and providing a run-time engine for customization of assets in each org. We recommend building templates to deploy your Tableau Next and Data 360 solutions to your production orgs and your customers.

Standard packaging is an option as well, but you go further faster by using templates.
