Create a Trialforce Source Organization
A Trialforce Source Organization (TSO) acts as the basis for a new trial org. After
you create a TSO, you install your package there. You then add data to give your prospects
something to explore when they first log in to the trial org.

You have two options for creating a TSO: You can use a Trialforce Management Organization (TMO) or the Environment Hub. If you plan to brand your emails or login page, use a TMO. When you create the TSO in a TMO, you also get a company-specific My Domain name. Here’s how to create a TSO (Enterprise Edition) from a TMO.
- Log in to your TMO.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Source Organizations, and then select Source Organizations.
- Click New.
- Enter a new username and email address for the administrator account.
- Enter a name for the TSO. Optionally, specify the custom branding by choosing a branded email set or login site.
- Click Create.
You can also create a TSO from the Environment Hub. When you use the Environment Hub, you can create an Enterprise Edition TSO or a Professional Edition TSO.
- Log in to the Environment Hub.
- Click Create Org.
- Keep the default, Purpose as Trialforce.
- Keep the default for Create Using, Standard Edition.
- Select Professional TSO or Enterprise TSO.
- Enter the org name.
- (Optional) Enter a unique name for your My Domain.
- Enter a username and email address for the admin account.
- Enter a name for the TSO.
- Acknowledge that you’ve read the Main Services Agreement.
- Click Create.
The TSO now appears in the Environment Hub.
You receive an email with the login details for your TSO. You can then log in to the TSO
and install your package, along with sample data and configurations. Optionally, you can
also create:
- Custom profiles
- New users
- Sample records
