Authentication Issues
Use this section if your client reaches the server but cannot complete sign-in.
If your client requires an external client app, make sure that setup exactly matches the Salesforce Hosted MCP Server requirements.
If you are using Vibes as your MCP client, an external client app is not required. Follow Vibes documentation for setup and troubleshooting.
Make sure the callback (redirect) URL in your client exactly matches what is configured in Salesforce.
Your MCP client must support an OAuth flow compatible with Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers.
Try the same connection/sign-in in Postman or MCP Inspector.
- If it works there, review your MCP client's authentication setup.
