Service Cloud Voice Authentication for Amazon Connect

Most of the necessary configuration is set up automatically when you create a contact center from within Salesforce. However, if you want to use the InvokeSalesforceRestApiFunction Lambda function, you must set up OAuth.

To use Amazon Connect with Service Cloud Voice, you must have SAML authentication set up. SAML authentication is already taken care of by the provisioning process when creating a contact center.

However, to use the provided InvokeSalesforceRestApiFunction Lambda function, you must also have OAuth set up. This function is not required for basic use cases and is only needed if you want to perform Salesforce REST API calls in any of your contact flows.
