Storefront Next Automated Setup
Storefront Next Automated Setup is the quickest way to stand up a hybrid storefront, and is available for Storefront Next only. The Storefront Next setup flow in Business Manager provisions the storefront, its Managed Runtime (MRT) environment, and eCDN for you, so you complete only the Hybrid Auth configuration.
Storefront Next Automated Setup applies to Storefront Next only. For PWA Kit (Composable Storefront), SFRA, or SiteGenesis, use Manual Setup.
Complete the Shared Hybrid Auth Setup (SLAS, session bridging, and Business Manager). These steps are the same for every instance type.
Across all instance types, the Hybrid Auth configuration is the same: enable Hybrid Auth in Business Manager (see Shared Hybrid Auth Setup, Step 4) and set the hybrid MRT environment variables PUBLIC__app__hybrid__enabled and PUBLIC__app__hybrid__legacyRoutes. Only the routing setup differs by environment, as summarized in Hybrid Auth Environments and Routing. Configure each instance type as follows.
- Enable Hybrid Auth in Business Manager.
- Enable the hybrid environment variables for MRT.
- Configure eCDN routing using the Business Manager UI. See Use Storefront Next in a Hybrid Implementation.
- Enable Hybrid Auth in Business Manager.
- Enable the hybrid environment variables for MRT.
- Configure eCDN routing using the Business Manager UI. See Set Up Hybrid Storefront with On-Demand Sandbox (ODS) Instances Using eCDN.
- Enable Hybrid Auth in Business Manager for the target sandbox/site.
- Enable the hybrid environment variables for the local runtime.
- Configure routing with the local hybrid proxy instead of eCDN. See Set Up Hybrid Proxy Locally in Secondary Instance Group (SIG) Environments.
