Agentforce for Vibes Releases

We release updates to the Agentforce Vibes VS Code extension multiple times a month, often on a weekly cadence.

Prereleases let you try upcoming Agentforce Vibes capabilities before they roll into the stable release the following week. Use prereleases to explore what’s new, experiment with emerging features, and provide feedback ahead of the stable release.

Prerelease: Odd-numbered weekly releases (for example, v1.11).

Stable Release: Even-numbered weekly releases (for example, v1.10). Features first appear in prerelease and roll into the stable release the following week.

To switch to the prerelease version:

  1. Open VS Code.
  2. Go to the Extensions view in the Activity Bar.
  3. Search for Agentforce Vibes.
  4. Open the extension details page.
  5. Select Switch to prerelease Version.
  6. Restart VS Code when prompted.

We’re excited to introduce the first public pre-release of Agentforce Vibes version 4.xx, a major evolution of the Agentforce Vibes experience. This release delivers a dramatically more capable agentic development environment with advanced planning workflows, improved tool orchestration, deeper MCP integration, and a redesigned chat experience.

With this version of Agentforce Vibes, you can do more than generate code. Agents can reason through complex tasks, create implementation plans, ask clarifying questions, manage context intelligently, and take multi-step actions while keeping you in control through approvals, permissions, and native VS Code diff reviews.

Highlights include:

  • 💬 A redesigned chat experience with multi-tab conversations, conversation history, reasoning visibility, tool execution details, and automatic context management.
  • 🧠 New Plan Mode for breaking down complex work into structured plans and manageable tasks.
  • 🛠️ Improved tool execution with approvals, security controls, and native VS Code diff-based review.
  • 🔌 Expanded MCP support, including platform-hosted MCP servers, improved configuration, and more reliable connections.
  • 📚 Built-in support for Skills and Rules to help guide agent behavior and package reusable expertise.
  • 👀 Live previews for Lightning Web Components, metadata visualizations, and React-based user interfaces.
  • 🤖 Access to the latest Claude and GPT models through a unified model picker.

Agentforce Vibes represents a significant step forward in agentic development and lays the foundation for powerful new capabilities coming in future releases.
