LWC MCP Tools Usage Considerations

When using the MCP tools for LWC development, consider these usage guidelines.

• MCP tools use generative AI, which can produce inaccurate or harmful responses. Before using the generated output, review it for accuracy and safety.
• Some MCP tools can invoke other tools depending on your prompts, but the tools aren't guaranteed to run. Check that the tool is enabled in your DX MCP server configuration.
• When writing your prompt, you can explicitly request a specific LWC MCP tool that's been enabled. Refer to the MCP tool by name and describe the task you need the tool to perform in natural language. For example, "Use the guide_lwc_best_practices tool to review this component".
