Determine if Lightning Web Security Affects Your Org

Lightning Web Security (LWS) is generally available for Lightning web components (LWC) and Aura components. LWS affects custom Lightning components created in your org or installed through packages.

If you're unsure whether your org has custom Lightning components, use Setup to list the components in your org.

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Lightning Components and select Lightning Components.

The Lightning Components page lists your org's components, indicating the component type and whether the component is from a managed package.

  • The Type column specifies LWC or Aura.
  • The Managed package icon icon indicates a component is from a managed package. Only the owner of the AppExchange app can modify the managed package. If there isn't an icon, then the component isn't managed, and you can modify the component's code.

If the Lightning Components list is empty, then your org doesn't have any custom Lightning components. Lightning Web Security doesn’t affect your org.
