Reset a SIG or ODS Instance in Control Center
Reset an instance to initialize it to a clean state. Resetting deletes all data from the database, so reset SIG sandbox and ODS instances, but you can't reset PIG instances. This limitation prevents the accidental deletion of mission-critical data.
To reset a SIG sandbox or ODS instance, you need sufficient permissions.
- Log into Control Center.
- Click Instances.
- Search for and select the sandbox instance you want to initialize.
- Click Reset. A confirmation message appears asking if you want to continue.
- Click Yes. Control Center initializes the instance and sends an email with the new temporary password to the email address of the Control Center account.
- Start the instance, log in with the temporary password, and when prompted, change the password.
