Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Connector Limitations and Troubleshooting

Here are some tips for troubleshooting issues that occur when you ingest AEM assets and pages into Data 360 with the AEM connector. These solutions are unique to the AEM connector.

General Data 360 Limitations

Clicking Test Connection in the Connection Setup Fails 

When you create a connection, Data 360 performs a validation test.

Issue 

The test connection fails.

Solution 

If you use password authentication and the user of this password has two-factor authentication, the connection fails. To authenticate in such a case, select the token authentication option.

New Data Fails to Ingest 

When you ingest data with the AEM connector, Data 360 syncs it.

Issue 

The sync fails.

Search Index and Chunking Failed 

When you create an AEM connector, turn on search indexing.

Issue 

Data 360 didn’t create a search index or chunks.

Solution 

The solution is to create or rebuild the search index.

  1. From App Launcher, select Data Cloud.
  2. Do one of these steps: a. If you have a search index:
    1. Open the Search Index tab.
    2. Select the search index that you created.
    3. Click Rebuild from the dropdown menu on the right. b. If you don’t have a search index, create one:
    4. From the search index tab, click New > Easy Setup.
    5. Select the corresponding Data Model Object.
