Set Up a Confluence Unstructured Connection (Beta)
Set up the Confluence connection to start the flow of unstructured data into Data 360.
This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. Before you begin:
- Enable the Beta connector through the feature manager. See Enable Data 360 Features.
- Complete the Prepare Your Confluence Unstructured Connection steps to gather the necessary credentials.
- Verify your admin has enabled firewalls on the system you want Data 360 to connect to by including these IP addresses to your allowlists.
- In Data Cloud, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.
- Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.
- Click New.
- On the Source tab, select Confluence Unstructured and click Next.
- Enter the following connection details:
- Connection Name: Enter a descriptive name for this connection.
- Cloud ID: Enter the Confluence Cloud ID you collected from Step 1 of Prepare Your Confluence Unstructured Connection.
- Admin API Token: Enter the Atlassian Admin API token you generated in Step 3 of Prepare Your Confluence Unstructured Connection. This token is used to retrieve user information from your Atlassian organization.
- Org ID: Enter the Atlassian Organization ID you collected from Step 2 of Prepare Your Confluence Unstructured Connection.
- Named Credentials: Click the dropdown and select the authentication provider. Select Confluence 3LO from the list and click Authenticate. This redirects you to Atlassian's authorization page where you sign in with your Confluence credentials and grant Data 360 access to your Confluence instance.
- After authenticating, you are redirected back to Data 360.
- To review your configuration, click Test Connection.
- The system verifies if the provided authentication values allow a successful connection to Confluence.
- Follow the instructions on the screen if the connection fails.
- Click Save.
After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and listed under Connectors. You can now create unstructured data lake objects (UDLOs).
