Integrate the SDK for iOS

Integrate the Salesforce Engagement SDK into your iOS app to enable push notifications and user engagement features.

Before you integrate the SDK, complete these prerequisites:

• Install Xcode 12 or later
• Configure your app in Marketing Cloud Engagement and obtain the App ID, Access Token, App Endpoint, and MID values

Follow these steps to integrate the SDK into your iOS app.

1. Install the dependencies for the SDK. Choose one of these methods for managing the dependencies:

   • Install with CocoaPods
   • Install with Swift Package Manager
   • Install Manually

2. Configure the SDK in your app.

After you complete the basic integration, configure these additional features:

• Add a privacy manifest to your app to comply with the requirements of the App Store.
• If your app uses iOS Data Protection, understand how it affects the SDK.
