The Metadata Experts MCP Server is a Salesforce hosted MCP (Model Context Protocol) server designed for high-quality metadata generation. It provides the execute_metadata_action tool, which handles core business logic for registered metadata types.

Before you can use the Metadata Experts server in Agentforce Vibes, your admin must activate it in org Setup:

  1. From Setup, enter “MCP” in the Quick Find box, then select MCP Servers.
  2. Navigate to metadata-experts in the server list and click Activate.

After your admin activates the server in org Setup, if disabled, enable it in Agentforce Vibes:

  1. Open the Agentforce Vibes panel and click the Toolkit tab.
  2. Click MCP Servers.
  3. Find Metadata Experts under the “Salesforce Platform” group.
  4. Click the server and toggle it on.

Verify that it shows a “Connected” status with available tools.

In Agentforce Vibes, Skills and MCP tools collaborate to generate high-quality Salesforce metadata. Skills interpret your intent and guide the task, while MCP tools handle the underlying execution.

Salesforce metadata skills are enabled by default and work alongside the Metadata Experts MCP server to deliver accurate results. For example, when you ask the agent to generate a Validation Rule, Agentforce Vibes automatically selects the appropriate Skill based on your request and uses the execute_metadata_action tool to complete the task.

To view and manage Skills:

  1. Click the ⚖️ icon at the bottom of the Agentforce Vibes panel.
  2. Open the Skills tab.
