Set Up a SFTP Unstructured Connection

Set up the SFTP Unstructured connection as the first step to importing your SFTP Unstructured content into Data 360. After you create the connection, create an Unstructured Data Lake Object (UDLO) to complete the dataflow.

User Permissions Needed
To create a connection:	System Admin profile or Data Cloud Architect permission set

It’s your obligation to make sure that you have the rights to the data collected with this feature. Salesforce disclaims all liability with respect to such data collected.

Note

Before you begin:

Verify that you’ve Created a Staging Area and saved your username and hostname.

In Data Cloud, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.
Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.
Click New.
Select SFTP Unstructured and enter a Connection Name and an API Name (Data 360 requires both).
In the Staging Area dropdown, select the staging area you created in Prepare Your SFTP Unstructured Connection.
Click Test Connection.
- Data 360 verifies that the connection to the staging area is successful.
- Follow the instructions on the screen if the connection fails.
After the connection test passes, Save your changes.
