Set Up a YouTube Connection (Beta)
Set up the YouTube connection to start the flow of data into Data Cloud.
This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. To create a connection: | System Admin profile or Data Cloud Architect permission set |
Before you begin:
- Verify you're the owner or co-owner of the YouTube Channel you want to create a connection to.
- Verify you have the necessary YouTube account credentials:
- Channel ID
- Client ID and Client Secret
- Refresh Token
To create a connection:
- In Data Cloud, select Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.
- Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.
- Select New.
- On the Source tab, scroll down, select YouTube Connector and select Next.
- Enter a Connection Name and an API Name (this field auto-populates) for the connector.
- In the Authentication Details section, enter the information you collected previously.
- Client ID: Paste the Client ID you copied from the Prerequisite procedure.
- Client Secret: Paste the Client Secret you copied from the Prerequisite procedure.
- Refresh Token: Paste the Refresh Token you copied from the Prerequisite procedure.
- In the Connection Details section, enter the information you collected previously.
- Channel ID: Paste the Channel ID you collected from the Prerequisite procedure.
- Select Test Connection.
- The system verifies if the provided authentication values create a successful connection to YouTube.
- Follow the instructions on the screen if the connection fails.
- After the connection test passes successfully, select Save.
