Prepare Your Heretto Connection
Before you create a Heretto connection, complete these prerequisites. The Heretto connector uses a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) staging area to transfer your content to Data 360 and requires Secure Shell (SSH) key authentication. Create a staging area, generate an SSH key pair, and gather your connection details. For instructions, see Working with a Staging Area
After you create the Staging Area, Data 360 provides a username and hostname. You need to give this information to your Heretto Customer Support.
- In Data 360, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.
- From the left navigation menu, click Staging Area.
- From the staging area details page, locate the Username and Host Name.
- Copy and save these values in a secure location. You need to give this information to your Heretto Support Representative.
Decide what content you want to upload to Data 360. Prepare the content and note the following stipulations:
- HTML5/Portal Scenario required: You must run a Publishing Scenario configured for HTML5 or Web Help output. Other output types are currently not supported by Data 360.
- Map Hierarchy restriction: Any topic or resource that is not explicitly dragged into or referenced within your active DITA Map hierarchy will be excluded from the generated package.
- Committed Content requirement: Any content not saved and committed to the architecture prior to launching the build will not be included. Ensure all open topics are saved in the editor, so that the cloud publishing engine fetches the latest iteration.
- Automated ZIP Packaging: Data 360 expects to receive a ZIP archive containing the output. The Heretto Publishing Engine automatically compresses HTML5 outputs into a single ZIP download. Once the build finishes in the Builds tab, simply download the packaged ZIP file directly from your browser. Ask your Heretto service representative for assistance if needed.
Contact your Heretto support representative. Ask them to help you configure a method to publish content to the Data 360 staging area over SFTP. Explain to the representative that you need to perform a DITA transformation where the output is an HTML5 zipped file.
You will need to give the support representative:
- The Host Name from your Staging Area.
- The Username from your Staging Area.
- The Private Key from your Generate an SSH Key Pair
