Integration Setup

Instructions for creating a Private Network Route. Once complete, you need to create a Federated File or Query Connection.

  1. Do one of the following:
    1. Create a Self-Managed Private Network Route for Databricks on Azure. Use this option when you want to manage the endpoint services. You configure the endpoint services, add the Data 360 principal ID as an allowed principal, and accept the connection requests.
    2. Create a Salesforce-Managed Private Network Route for Databricks on Azure Use this option when you want Salesforce to provision and maintain the cross-cloud private connection. You provide the Azure Databricks workspace information and authorize the Salesforce private endpoints in Azure.
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. Create a File Federated Data Stream - if you are connecting to Data 360 directly to Databricks tables.
  4. Create a Query Federated Data Stream - if you are connecting Data 360 to a Databricks SQL warehouse to query Databricks tables or views.

In both cases, follow the instructions, but where appropriate, turn on Use Private Network Route and select the PNR you created using the Route Name you entered. When asked, you will need to supply the HTTP Path. See the resource table for details.
