Returns the current time of day.

Syntax

Arguments 
  • <precision>: An optional integer that specifies the number of fractional digits retained in the seconds field.

Returns 

Returns the current time of day as a time value.

Examples 

Get the Current Time 

Return the current time of day.

1SELECT CURRENT_TIME;

Returns a value such as 14:39:53.662522.
