Set Up a Guru Connection (Beta)

Set up a Guru connection to start the flow of data into Data Cloud.

This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. Any use of the Beta Service is subject to the applicable Beta Services Terms provided at Agreements and Terms. User Permissions Needed
To create a connection:	System Admin profile or Data Cloud Architect permission set

Before you begin:

Enable the Beta connector through the feature manager. See Enable Data Cloud Features.
Verify your admin has enabled firewalls on the system you want Data Cloud to connect to by including these IP addresses to your allowlists.

It’s your obligation to make sure that you have the rights to the data collected using this feature. Salesforce disclaims all liability with respect to such data collected.

Before you begin:

Verify you have the necessary Guru account credentials which you created with Prepare your Guru Connection:

To create a connection:

In Data Cloud, select Setup, and then select Data Cloud Setup.
Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.
Select New.
On the Source tab, select the Guru tile, and select Next.
Enter a Connection Name and an API Name (this field auto-populates) for the connector.
In the Authentication Details section, select the authentication method and fill in the fields with the information you collected earlier. Choose from:
- User Tokens - requires you have the User Email and User Token
- Collection Tokens - requires you to have a Collection ID and Collection token.
Select Test Connection. The system verifies that the provided authentication values allow a successful connection to Guru. If the connection fails, follow the instructions on the screen.
After the connection test passes successfully, select Save.
