Set Up a Microsoft Advertising Connection (Beta)
Set up the Microsoft Advertising connection to start the flow of data into Data Cloud.
This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. Before you begin:
- Enable the Beta connector through the feature manager. See Enable Data Cloud Features.
- Verify your admin has enabled firewalls on the system you want Data Cloud to connect to by including these IP addresses to your allowlists.
- Set up OAuth based authentication for OpenID or for Microsoft.
- Create external and named credentials.

In Data Cloud, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.

Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.

Click New.

On the Source tab, select Microsoft Advertising and click Next.

Enter a connection name and connection API name.

For Authentication Details, enter these inputs.

Enter a Customer ID. This ID can be found in the Campaign tab and looking for cid=??? in the URL.

Enter a Developer Token.
Find at https://developers.ads.microsoft.com/Account. Select the user you want the token for and then click Request Token.

Select a Named Credential from the dropdown

Optionally, add an Account ID. This ID can be found in the Campaign tab and looking for aid=??? in the URL.

For Connection Details, enter these optional inputs.

Check Use Sandbox to use a sandbox in your connection.

Enter an Azure Tenant, which is the tenant ID of the OAuth app you’re using.

Select either Global or China from the Azure Environment dropdown.

To review your configuration, click Test Connection.

Click Save.
After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and listed under Connectors. You can now create data streams.
