Reset a SIG or ODS Instance in Control Center
You can reset an instance to initialize it to a clean state. Resetting deletes all data from the database, so you can reset SIG sandbox and ODS instances, but you can't reset PIG instances. This limitation prevents the accidental deletion of mission-critical data.
To reset a SIG sandbox or ODS instance, you need sufficient permissions.
- Log into Control Center.
- Click Instances.
- Search for and select the sandbox instance you want to initialize.
- Click Reset. A confirmation message appears asking if you want to continue.
- Click Yes. Control Center initializes the instance and sends an email with the new temporary password to the email address of the Control Center account.
- Start the instance, log in with the temporary password, and when prompted, change the password.
