Shopper Agent for Storefront Next guides customers through product discovery and their purchasing journey. With the AI-powered Shopper Agent, shoppers can find products, get recommendations, and complete purchases using Enhanced Chat instead of traditional browse-and-click navigation. Enable Shopper Agent to provide it in your storefront.

Here’s an overview of the configuration steps.

  1. Enable Shopper Agent.
  2. Set up a messaging channel.
  3. Create an embedded service deployment.
  4. Create a Storefront Next storefront in Business Manager. The storefront setup automatically creates a Managed Runtime (MRT) environment.
  5. Add the Commerce Agent variable to your MRT environment.
  6. Add the storefront URL to the trusted URLs and CORS.

After you complete the setup of Shopper Agent, you can launch it in one of these ways.

  • Launch Shopper Agent from the storefront header to open the chat window.
  • Enter search text in the search field. Storefront Next sends the search text to the Shopper Agent as a message.
