Overview

In this chapter, we explore how Coral Cloud Resorts can unify their data with Data Cloud.

Coral Cloud Resorts' goal is to consolidate customer data from various sources throughout the customer journey to create a unified view of their customer that helps them create personalized experiences and improve decision making.

To implement this vision, you'll learn how to use data streams to ingest data into Data Cloud, how to map data lake objects (DLOs) to data model objects (DMOs), how to unify your data with identity resolution, and how to activate your data with calculated insights.

Like most businesses, Coral Cloud Resorts has data in different systems. For example, they store contact information in Salesforce, and reservations and guest information in Amazon S3.
