Search or Create and Modify Records with Agentforce Coworker
Search your Salesforce CRM data and connected data sources, or type a command to create and update records.

| To use Agentforce Coworker: | Access_Ai_Search (API Name) Permission Set Group. Admins grant user access via Manage Users in Coworker Setup (recommended) or the main Setup menu. |
| To create or modify records with Agentforce Coworker: | Admins enable the Agent Actions toggle in Agentforce Coworker setup. |
To switch between Agentforce Coworker and Standard Search, click the link under the search bar.
Note
- Decide if you want to search, create, or modify records.
- To search, type your query in the Salesforce global search bar.
- First-time users: Opt in via the message that appears.
- Returning users: Recent searches appear as you type.
- For search results and a quick summary, press Enter to go to Search mode.
- For a detailed answer and suggested next steps, click Ask to go to Ask mode.
Your search opens in a new tab in your toolbar, labeled “Search: Your Search Criteria” or “Ask: Your Search Criteria.” Click the tab to return to your results, or click X to close it. Search tabs aren’t available on the Salesforce mobile app.
Note
- To create and modify records, click Ask and type what you want Agentforce Coworker to do.
Agentforce Coworker can propose updates or new records without accounting for user permission restrictions. If a lack of permission prevents the change, the update or creation doesn’t go through. Create or modify up to 15 records in a single command.
Note
- View or act on what Agentforce Coworker returns.
- Search results: Click source links to view full details. Results are organized by relevance and include snippets and highlighted text when the data source and object type support them.
- Ask mode suggestions: Follow the recommended next steps under the search bar.
- Record updates: Agentforce Coworker shows the proposed changes with old and new values. Confirm the updates.
- Record creations: Agentforce Coworker maps proposed changes to the relevant fields and links to related existing records. Confirm the creation. Refine the proposal until you’re satisfied.
