Care Coordination for Slack | Health Cloud Administration

Set up dedicated critical notifications channels that make higher priority updates easier to find. Use the out-of-the-box Health Cloud notification flows or clone and configure them to set up your own custom notifications.

Limitations

The Care Coordination for Slack app only works if you’re using the Care Plans feature from the Health Cloud managed package.
Notifications for updates related to a patient’s health records are sent only if the patient has at least one active care plan.
Notifications are only sent to care coordinators who are assigned the role of Care Coordinator on a patient’s active care teams.

Types of Notifications in Care Coordination for Slack
Care coordinators receive Slack notifications when certain patient records are created or updated. Most notifications are delivered to the Care Coordination for Slack app in its Messages tab. However, to make sure that your care coordinators aren’t overwhelmed with notifications, we’re also introducing the concept of Critical Notifications.
Create and Assign a Care Coordination for Slack Permission Set to Users
You and your users need a permission set with the Connect Salesforce with Slack system permission to use Care Coordination for Slack. Because we don’t ship a permission set with that permission out-of-the-box, you have to create a custom permission set and assign it to your users and yourself.
Enable Care Coordination for Slack
Before your users can use the Care Coordination for Slack app, you must integrate Slack with Salesforce and enable the app.
Clone and Activate Flows for the Care Coordination for Slack App
The provided flows for the Care Coordination for Slack app aren’t activated by default. Clone and activate the flows for the types of notifications your care coordinators need.
Custom Notifications in Care Coordination for Slack
In addition to the notifications included with Care Coordination for Slack, you can also configure custom notifications for any object that references patients. Configure custom notifications by creating a custom notification type and then cloning and modifying an out-of-the-box notification flow.
Create Critical Notifications Channels
To ensure that you don’t overwhelm your care coordinators with notifications, set up critical notifications channels where they only get specific types of notifications.
