Note
-
Enable Contacts to Relate to Multiple Accounts
Relate a single contact to multiple accounts so you can easily track the relationships between people and organizations. For example, a care provider who is represented as a contact can be related to an organization's primary account as well as to a patient’s person account record. -
Enable Chatter Settings
Chatter helps Health Cloud users collaborate in real time with Salesforce. It’s a fast, simple tool that enables users to talk to each other, work together, and share information. Suppose Charles Green’s care coordinator, April Guthman, wants to post updates about his flu diagnosis for his therapist. Chatter helps her do so with a few clicks. -
Make Data Protection Details Available in Records
To help maintain the privacy of your users’ data, enable data protection details for lead, contact, and person account records. -
Install Health Cloud Packages
Install the Health Cloud managed package in your org so that you can begin implementing Health Cloud for your users. After that’s done, you can install the optional unmanaged packages that extend Health Cloud with extra features. -
Configure Custom Record Types for Individuals
Health Cloud gives you the flexibility to configure custom record types for individuals. -
Configure Custom Record Types for Groups
To configure a custom household or group record type, you must first create a custom account record type using the Account (Household) Layout. -
Add Health Cloud Users
You can add internal Salesforce users one at a time or in batches of up to 10 users. -
Configure Health Cloud Profiles
Adjust users’ profiles to give them access to the Health Cloud fields and records. Assign standard Salesforce profiles to your users. If you need custom profiles to extend visibility and access to certain objects, clone a standard profile and edit it to meet your organization’s needs. -
Assign Health Cloud Permission Sets and Permission Set Licenses
Permission sets enable users to use specific tools and settings according to their user license. With permission set licenses, you can give users access to features beyond those included in their basic user licenses. To use Health Cloud users need the Health Cloud permission set license and the Health Cloud Platform permission set license. -
Assign the Health Cloud for Life Sciences Permission Set
Permission sets enable users to use specific tools and settings according to their user license. To use Health Cloud for Life Sciences, admins require the Health Cloud Starter permission set. -
Assign Health Cloud Permission Sets and Licenses to Multiple Users
You can streamline administration by using Data Loader and a spreadsheet to assign permission set licenses in bulk. -
Health Cloud Permission Sets
Health Cloud provides permission sets—collections of settings and permissions—that give users access to specific Health Cloud features. The settings and permissions in permission sets are also found in profiles, but permission sets extend users’ functional access without changing their profiles. -
Set Field Access
Field permissions specify the access level for each field in an object. Whether you use profiles or permission sets to control access to data in Health Cloud, make sure that users have access to these standard fields. -
Set Up Person Accounts to Represent Health Cloud Members and Patients
Person accounts store information about specific people by combining certain account and contact fields into a single record. Person accounts are accounts that can also be used as contacts in many situations. However, person accounts differ from business accounts and contacts in certain key areas, and have unique considerations. -
Protect Your Health Data with Salesforce Shield
Salesforce Shield is a set of security tools you can use to comply with regulations on storing sensitive, protected health information. With Platform Encryption and Event Monitoring, you can monitor usage, prevent malicious activity, and protect data at rest while availing Health Cloud’s full functionality. -
Control Access to Patient or Member Lists
By default, any patient or member list created in your org is available to all users with access to the Health Cloud console. Use sharing settings to control access to patient or member lists. -
Use Custom Metadata Settings to Configure Health Cloud
Custom metadata for Health Cloud allows you to configure a variety of settings. Some examples include designating which field sets the Care Plan Components reference, customizing the "patient" label in the Care Plan Component, and determining which record types Health Cloud uses for patients. -
Convert Leads to Patients
Your company can use existing Salesforce Lead records to create the Patient records that are used in Health Cloud.
