Objects Used in Medication Review

Medication Review uses objects from the Health Cloud clinical data model to store medication-related information. The Clinical data model must be enabled for your org if you want to use Medication Review.

Here’s the list of objects that Medication Review uses and the required permissions for your clinicians.

Medicinal Ingredient	Specify ingredients of medications using data imported by RxNorm	Create Read
Medication Request	Create medication request records by using the data entered by the clinician in the Medication Request Details section	Create Read Update
Medication Statement	Create medication statement records by using the data entered by the clinician in the Additional Details section	Create Read Update

These objects also reference other objects in the Clinical data model. For instance, Patient Medication Dosage references Activity Timing, and Medication Statement references Care Observation.

Make sure that you add all the appropriate code set and code set bundle values in your org for your clinicians. These code sets and code set bundles are required to enter medication-related information for their patients.
Make sure you have Read and View All access to the Drug Display Terms object. Access to this object is required to add medications in the Patient Medication Manager.
