Set Up Dashboards

Upload extended metadata (XMD) files to make sure that all custom colors, labels, and quick actions are available for dashboards in Analytics for Health Cloud. Extended metadata (XMD) enables you to customize the formatting of dataset fields and their values in CRM Analytics dashboards and lenses. If you modify the XMD for a dataset, every UI visualization that uses the dataset shows the modified format.

Before starting this task, the dataflow must have finished running at least once.

Important

  1. Download the XMD files.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Static, and then select Static Resources.
    2. Click healthcloudwaveresources.
    3. To download the resources .zip file, click View File.
    4. Extract the .zip file of XMD files.

      Record the location of the extracted files.

      Note

  2. Update the datasets.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and open Analytics Studio.
    2. Under All Items, click the Datasets tab.
    3. Click Dropdown next to FinalDashboardDataset, and select Edit.
    4. Under Extended Metadata File, click Dropdown next to the FinalDashboardDataset.xmd.json file, and select Replace.
    5. From the downloaded and extracted zip folder, upload the FinalDashboardDataset file.

      The XMD file name corresponds with the dataset name.
