The Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization jobs that you set up can be configured to run everyday and reassign visits for optimal field resource utilization. The goal of this optimization is to use point-to-point predictive routing so that your field resources spend more time in appointments and less time traveling between them.

Set Up Enhanced Optimization for Service Territories

Update the Field Service Integration Permission for Home Health
To use Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization, you have to update the Field Service Integration permission set. This permission set gives Field Service access to the data needed for optimization, automatic scheduling, and service appointment bundling.
Enable Point-to-Point Routing for Home Health
Home Health uses Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization to execute point-to-point routing and optimize field resource utilization. You must enable point-to-point routing in your org first before this optimization can happen.
Exclude Visits from Optimization in Home Health
Not every visit has to go through optimization and reassignment. For instance, your org could have visits that have been canceled, completed, or put on hold. Changing assignments for these visits could lead to wasted resources and other complications. So, we recommend excluding visits with certain statuses from the optimization logic.
Set Up Recurring Jobs for Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization
Set up Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization jobs that run every day and optimize your field resource utilization. We recommend scheduling these jobs to run after business hours or right before the business day starts so that last-minute changes in scheduling are accounted for in the optimization.
