Work Plan Templates add tasks to scheduled visits that the field resource has to complete before ending each visit. These tasks could either be simple checklist items, or they could launch flows that the field resource can use to capture data for your system. Work plan templates are set up for work types, and are used to generate work plans for the work orders created for those work types.

To automatically create work plans from work plan templates, you must enable the setting in setup first.

Each Work Plan Template record represents a group of tasks that a field resource has to perform as part of a visit.
Create Work Plan Template entries for Home Health
Each task under a work plan template’s group is represented using Work Plan Template Entry records and their associated Work Step Entry record.
Define Work Plan Selection Rules for Home Health
Work Plan Selection Rules determine when work plan templates are used to generate work plans for work orders. Our system checks the values of certain fields on Work Order records, and then generates work plans from templates if those values match the selection rules that you define for different templates.
