Turn On Agentforce Coworker

Agentforce Coworker setup is largely automated. The steps can take a few minutes to process. If you missed any pre-enablement steps, a warning appears on the setup page with instructions for completing the remaining steps, and you can’t activate Agentforce Coworker until the steps are complete.

For usage-based access to Agentforce Coworker in your org:Data Cloud or Data 360, Foundations or Flex Foundations License, and Flex Credits entitlements
For seat-based access to Agentforce Coworker in your org:Data Cloud or Data 360, Agentforce 1 Edition or Agentforce for Sales, Service, and Industries License
To turn on, configure, or grant access to Agentforce Coworker:Salesforce Admin Role and Agentforce Coworker Admin Permission Set

Before You Begin 

Before turning on Agentforce Coworker, complete these steps:

Step 1: Turn On Agentforce Coworker 

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Agentforce Coworker.
  2. Select Get Started with Agentforce Coworker (side panel).
  3. Click Turn On.
  4. When the Turn on Agentforce Coworker window appears, select Confirm.

When you turn on Agentforce Coworker, Einstein turns on automatically. To use generative AI features, keep Einstein turned on.

Step 2: Give Users Access 

To grant access from the main Setup menu, assign users the Access_Ai_Search (API Name) Permission Set Group. Salesforce recommends using the Manage Users section of Agentforce Coworker Setup instead.

Note

  1. In Agentforce Coworker Setup, find the Manage Users section.
  2. Select Manage.
  3. When the Assign Permission Groups to Users window appears, select the users to grant access.
  4. Click Assign.
  5. Click Done.

Step 3: Assign Seat-Based Access (If Applicable) 

Seat-based (unmetered) access requires both Step 2 and Step 3. Skip this step if your org doesn’t have Agentforce 1 Edition or Agentforce for Sales, Service, and Industries seat-based licenses.

Important

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users.
  2. Click Users and select a user.
  3. Click Permission Set License Assignments.
  4. Find Unmetered User-Based AI and select the checkbox.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat this step for each user to enable unmetered access. Without it, users still consume credits.
