Turn On Agentforce Coworker (Beta)

Agentforce Coworker setup is largely automated. The steps can take a few minutes to process. If you missed any pre-enablement steps, a warning appears on the setup page with instructions for completing the remaining steps, and you can't activate Agentforce Coworker until the steps are complete.

USER PERMISSIONS NEEDED
To use Agentforce Coworker:Access_Ai_Search Permission Set Group, AI Search Permission Set License
To configure Agentforce Coworker:Agentforce Coworker Admin Permission Set, AI Search Setup Permission Set License

Before turning on Agentforce Coworker, confirm these requirements:

  1. From your org, select Setup and in the Quick Find box, enter Agentforce Coworker.
  2. Select Get Started with Agentforce Coworker.
  3. Click Turn On.
  4. When the Turn on Agentforce Coworker window appears, select Confirm.
  5. Salesforce completes the following steps on your screen automatically:
  • Turn On Agentforce Studio - enables the Agentforce Platform
  • Connect to Salesforce CRM - links Agentforce Coworker to your CRM data
  • Set Up Search Methods - configures the search infrastructure
  • Create Agentforce Coworker Agent - provisions the search agent
  • Set Up Personalization Features - enables personalized search results
  1. To make sure that you have the most updated features, enable the Beta Generative AI Models feature in Setup.
  2. In the Setup menu, enter Einstein Setup in the Quick Find box.
  3. Under Turn on Beta Generative AI Models, switch the toggle to On.

When the automated steps are finished, a check mark appears next to each of the steps and a green On label appears in the top right corner.

When you turn on Agentforce Coworker, the following automated actions are also performed in Data 360:

  • Users from your org are ingested, if they aren't already ingested.
  • An Enterprise User DLO is created.
  • A data transform converts data from the User DLO to the Enterprise User DLO.
  • The Enterprise User DLO is mapped to the Enterprise User DMO.
  • An Identity Resolution ruleset is created for user mapping.
  • A Data Action and Data Action Target are created to send users from the Enterprise User DMO to the Global Directory of Users (GDOU). These map user identities across Salesforce CRM, Slack, and third-party sources such as Google Drive.
