Customize Care Team Roles

The roles that people have in the healthcare world are incredibly varied. So you have the flexibility to change the standard Health Cloud roles to ones that reflect how your organization works.

What if your organization is an extended care facility and calls the people you manage residents rather than patients? Or instead of care coordinators, you have case managers who interact with patients or members. It’s easy to change the text that appears throughout the app.

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Custom Metadata, then select Custom Metadata Types.
Select Manage Records, next to Health Cloud Setting.
Select the label you want to change and click Clone.
For example, Careplan Role Care Coordinator or Careplan Role Patient.
Modify the Setting Value field to reflect your customized role name, and select Active.
When you activate your customized role name, it deactivates the original setting.
Save your changes.

When you change the role settings, make sure to also update the corresponding roles in the Assigned To picklist for the Care Plan Template Task object. When you change role names, existing tasks retain the original role names in the Assigned to field. You can edit these tasks to change to the new name.
