The built-in Start Medication Therapy Review flow helps streamline the initiation process of comprehensive and targeted medication reviews by determining the patient’s cognitive status based on their health conditions.

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud and the Medication Management Add-On license

User Permissions Needed
To customize the flow: Medication Therapy Review for Medication Management permission set

Using the flow, your pharmacists can:

  • View the list of health conditions causing a patient’s cognitive impairment
  • Provide details of the patient’s surrogate decision maker
  • Indicate if the patient is at a long-term care facility during the review
  • Specify the review type for a targeted medication review

With all these details handy, pharmacists can focus on the review of the patient’s medications and medical concerns. Provide additional flexibility for your pharmacists by customizing the flow depending on your business needs.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select Flows.
  2. Go to the Start Medication Therapy Review flow.
  3. Update the elements and attributes, as necessary.
  4. Save your changes.
    Now, when your pharmacists start a medication therapy review from the Patient Medication Manager lightning component, the updated flow is triggered instead of the built-in flow.
