Configure Intelligent Appointment Management Settings for an External Scheduler

Configure the Intelligent Appointment Management settings for the external scheduling system, including the Named Credential and the Assigned Provider Role.

User Permissions Needed
To use Health Cloud Health Cloud Foundation permission set
  1. In Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Intelligent Appointment Management Configuration, and then select Intelligent Appointment Management Configuration.
  2. Click New Intelligent Appointment Management Configuration.
  3. Enter a label for the configuration.
  4. Enter the Named Credential that you created for this configuration.
  5. Enter the role of the Assigned Provider, for example Primary Care Physician. The Assigned Provider Role value must map to the assigned providers’ relationship with their patients defined in the Reciprocal Role record. See Set Up Reciprocal Roles and Relationships for Intelligent Appointment Management.
  6. If you have only one external scheduling system, select Use Single Source System.
  7. To use this configuration record, select Is Active.
    You can have multiple appointment configurations, but only one can be active at a time.

    A configuration record isn’t active by default. You must manually activate it and deactivate any other configuration records. At least one configuration record must be active for Intelligent Appointment Management to work.
