Enable Patients to Schedule Their Own Appointments
Many patients and plan members prefer the control and convenience of booking their
appointments online rather than working through a call center. Set up an Experience site to
enable patients or their caregivers to find time slots and book appointments on their own, using
a configurable flow powered by OmniStudio.
Self-service appointments require the OmniStudio package. OmniStudio provides interface
components you can customize to enable users to book their own appointments through your
Experience site.
-
Set Up an Experience Site for Self-Service Appointment Management
Add self-service appointment capability to an Experience Cloud site, then customize the appointment flow with OmniStudio. -
Add Fields to the Self-Service Intelligent Appointment Management Component
Provider language and gender are two examples of fields that you can add to the self-service Intelligent Appointment Management component to give patients further choices when filtering providers. -
Confirm Self-Service Appointments by Email
Provide patients with the most up-to-date information on appointments by sending emails when appointments are scheduled or canceled. -
Use Self-Scheduling Workflows on Your Experience Site
Make it easier for patients to schedule appointments by using pre-built self-scheduling and canceling workflows, and adding them to your Experience Site pages. -
Migrate Intelligent Appointment Management Components to Another Org
After you've had a look at what you can do with Intelligent Appointment Management, you can move the components to another existing Salesforce org within your organization. -
Required OmniStudio Components
Check that the required components are in place in your Experience Cloud org to support self-service appointments. -
Configure the Self-Service Appointment Flow
To customize the self-service appointment management flow, edit the steps of the healthCloudIAM OmniScripts. -
Add Support for Google Map Data
By default, the main OmniScript for Self-Service Appointment Management accepts only ZIP codes for location data. You can add support for Google Map data.
