Configure Field Service Mobile Settings for Electronic Visit Verification

Streamline, optimize, and standardize the electronic visit verification process by customizing the settings of the Field Service Mobile app. Use these customizations to accommodate the unique business needs of your home health agency while helping your care resources in the field to automatically verify their visits.

User Permissions Needed
To configure mobile app settings:

Field Service Admin permission set

  1. From Setup, find and select Field Service Mobile Settings.
  2. Select the standard configuration named Field Service Mobile Settings.
  3. In the Additional Settings section, review and update the default settings as needed.
    • Geolocation Update Frequency in Minutes: Enter the number of minutes between attempts to retrieve a care resource’s geolocation updates.
    • Geolocation Update Frequency in Minutes (Background Mode): Enter the number of minutes between attempts to retrieve a care resource’s geolocation updates while the app is running in the background.
    • Collect time zones for time sheet entries: Select to capture time zones of work locations on time sheets.
    • Record Data Cache Time in Minutes: Enter the number of minutes that data is kept in the app’s local cache.
    • Schedule Update Frequency Time in Minutes: Enter the number of minutes between attempts to update a user’s schedule.
  4. In the Automatic Status Change section, review and update the default settings as needed.
    • Radius: Enter the home visit radius (100–5,000 meters) that triggers a notification on status change to the care resource.
    • Cancellation Period: Enter the duration (10–600 seconds) that the timer is visible. After this time, the status changes automatically and can’t be canceled.
    • Travel Status: Enter the status that indicates that a care resource is traveling to a home visit. We recommend retaining the Dispatched status.
    • On-Site Status: Enter the status that indicates that a care resource is at a home visit. We recommend retaining the In-Progress status.
    • Completed Status: Enter the status that indicates that a care resource completed a home visit. We recommend retaining the Completed status.
  5. Save your changes.
    That’s it, you’ve configured the settings for the Field Service Mobile app. You can now proceed to set up the Verify Home Visit Electronically flow.
