Create Clinical Measure Criteria
Create a clinical measure criteria record and associate it with a clinical measure or a
clinical measure criteria group. A clinical measure criteria record represents the computable
criteria of a measure that a patient’s data is evaluated against. For example, a measure states
that patients with diabetes who have a fasting blood sugar level above 126 mg/dL must take insulin
shots 4 times a day, every day. Here, one criteria is that the patient’s fasting blood sugar level
must be above 126 mg/dL. Another criteria is that the patient must take 4 insulin shots a
day.

| To create a Clinical Measure Criteria record: | Read, Create, and Edit access on Clinical Measure Criteria |
- From the App Launcher, find and select Clinical Measure Criteria.
- Click New.
- Select Clinical Measure or Clinical Measure Criteria Group as the reference record type. Then, search for and select a reference record.
- Select the criteria type.
- Optionally, select a parent criteria, criteria code, and aggregate method type.
- Optionally, enter a description and an expression set.
- Click Save.
