Set Up Email Confirmations for Self-Service Appointments

Let your patients know with an automated email that their appointment has been booked.

User Permissions Needed
To use self-service appointment scheduling:

OmniStudio in Lightning Experience Patient

AND

AppointmentScheduling on Health Cloud

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Email Templates, then select Classic Email Templates.
  2. Click New.
  3. Give your template a name. For example, Appointment Confirmation.
  4. Click Edit HTML Version and create the content for the email, then save.
    Here's an example:

  5. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Email Alerts, then select Email Alerts.
  6. Click New.
  7. Give your email alert a name. For example, Appointment Confirmation.
  8. Select Service Appointment Owner and Record Creator from Available Recipients and move them to Assigned Recipients, then save.
Now your patients get an automated email alerting them when their appointment has been booked.
