jCreate Service Territories for Home Health
Service territories represent the regions that your service resources in the field
operate under. You also define operating hours for each service territory, which is inherited by
each service resource under that territory.

| To create a service territory | Create access on Service Territory |
- In the App Launcher, find and select Service Territories.
- Click New.
- Enter the territory’s name in the Name field.
- If this territory is a child territory, select the parent territory in the Parent Territory field.

Select the operating hours for the territory in the Operating Hours
field.
Ensure that the selected Operating Hours record is configured with the required time slots. And if you don’t already have an operating hours record, create one.
- Select Active and enter the address for the territory.

Select Use enhanced scheduling and optimization.
If you don’t see this checkbox on your page layout, add the field to the page layout from the Object Manager.
- Save the record.
Now that you have both service resources and service territories, let’s join them together.
